I'm not an expert on the Authority, but here's what I see on the DC side...

Sentinel--a trans-tier+ being.
Thunderbolt--a 5th dimensional genie.
Magog--Dr. Midnite compared his strength to KC Supes, and compared the energy of his staff to Alan Scott's green flame.

Can the Authority compete with that?

JQ, Apollo, Engineer, and the Doctor destroy them.

Can the Authority compete with that? Jenny Quantum and the Doctor are roughly equal in power level, and they're close to being as powerful as comic characters get with just matter/energy manipulation and not actual reality manipulation. Somewhere above Sentinel and below Solar in his prime, I would think. In actual power, the Thunderbolt would probably surpass them, but assuming for the purpose of the thread that he's probably being controlled by Johnny/Jakeem, then Jenny Q and Doctor (any incarnation) should serve as the Authority's trump cards.

Digi's respect thread is comprehensive, and both the Doctor and Jenny's instant feats of mass matter/energy/time manipulation should be covered there if you feel like checking it out.

Based on your descriptions, it seems that if the Authority were to take out Jakeem before he could give an order to T-bolt (ie. "kill them", they'd have the power to easily defeat the rest of the JSA--but if Jakeem is able to communicate said order, the JSA wins.

Exactly how strong is Midnighter now? I know he had enhanced strength, but I wasn't expecting him to zoom around and make craters/avalanches with his fists.

The thing about *both* Jenny Q and the Doctor... they're totally squishies. Their defenses are purely of an active nature, they themselves are no tougher than ordinary humans. A lot like Jakeem, really.

Jay could take them out with a speed blitz.

Yeah, that sounds about right. The Doctor's 'magic' is thought-based and therefore very fast - no incantations or hand waves required - but quickdraw situations are always kind of tricky to call given how forum fights defer from comic situations.

I dunno.

When he perceives the opposition as a credible threat to himself and others, Jay has no reservations about punching the shit out of people at super-speeds. The most recent proof that comes to mind is Jay's battle with Scythe.

yes. doctor and jenny get the win, imo. jack is powerful as well, and midnighter kills all the streets.

Doctor's also reformed his brain after having it mushed in. And what are you basing "squishie" on? Jenny's swallowed a Big Bang. Jay would be in trouble.
