Im pondering whether to do some new youtube videos with rare pics i never used first time round or have found since.

Nice pictures, I do not believe I have seen them before.

I used to go to blueharvest.net for behind the scenes and publicity pictures.

I altered the deal for a bunch of KURTZ/JOINER archives images which i feel bad about yeah but they didnt come from KURTZ or JOINER but someone else so there you go.

Were you given physical copies of the images or a CD of scans?

These would make a good documentry if they did one . A ten disk box set with documentry's, stills, gallery and so on .

10 years ago i used to buy cds with SW images from a guy at conventions many of which i posted here a couple of years back and up till recently i was still buying stills off ebay BUT a lot were from time spent looting various now mostly defunkt sites.

...does anyone else subscribe to the podcast of starwars.com? there are pretty sweet stuff on it. Not pics, but audio stuff - there're these old interviews of mark hamill, harrison ford, carrie fisher, alec guinness... and some of the star wars radio ads and stuff...

I hate to double post but today I got some nice Star Wars goodies at a toy show. Two of my favorite items I got was a small head Han Solo (vintage) in fair shape.

And my favorite is a 59 x 45 inch Spike TV star wars promotional poster that was previously hanging on a New York City sub way.

Mine is a landscape format of the above poster.

I also picked up a 1978 Star Wars story book in good condition for a very fair price. I love all of the pictures in it, which is my kind of book.

I bet they want to milk Star Wars for as long as possible. I love the Vader sessions images, the saber looks so good. Almost PT era good.

why are some black and white?/

A lot of stills photographers back then prefered black and white film.
As for the Vader images i think those are vintage era images given a special ed style sabre effect makeover.
AND as for hanging on to unseen images Lucasfilm seem to be more content milking THE CLONE WARS at the moment.Its all about the prequels and that inbetween bit at the mo....BRING BACK LUKE,LEIA and HAN !

As for letting the people on the SW forums know about this that may be a bad move.I reckon Lucasfilm would ask for the thread to be shut down because as well as themselves not being keen on giving up rare images they dont like regular people posting them either or others enjoying them for free.

I told someone if they get Vista make sure to have atleast 2 GB of memory (RAM) as the minimum. Her son later said I was crazy and said that his iPod has 30 GB of memory.

The terms are easily confused.

Decent TV otherwise. Samsung here I come next time around!

Panasonic has some on the side as well. Prolly easier for attaching a camcorder without going all around the back.

Oh yeah, it is great when they have side A/V jacks...but on my TV the ONLY composite A/V inputs are on the side, none on the back, only x2 HDMI, VGA, and component, no composite. So if I wanted to hook up most VRC or DVD players they would stick out of the side.

No SCART then?

I hardly ever use composite, only for camcorders or Wii.

We don't have SCART in America. We basically use DVI and VGA for computers, and for TVs and gaming consoles/media players we use composite AV, component, HDMI, coaxial/RF, and that is all I can think of now, oh yeah, almost forgot S-video.

Do you use the component (not composite) cable for the Wii? I bought one for a friend of mine and it made his Wii look much better on his HD set.

Component cables use the red, green and blue video RCA type connectors for video and then the red and white audio cables for sound when composite only has the audio and the yellow RCA type cable for video if your not familiar with these interfaces.

Loving the pictures Vintage, keep it up, some are definately duplicates, but I don't mind seeing them again at all. Good stuff.

Those cables from the right website are only 5 dollars. But retail places try to place than at 30-50 to rip Wii owners off. I paid 5 for my friends. The difference on his TV was very noticeable.

Sounds like you have a lot of hookups on your TV, very cool. DVI is the same as HDMI (digital signal) except DVI only carries video and no audio. HDMI carries both video and audio.
