Who wins this classical matchup?
ScreamPaste
Pacman. He has a dimensional void for a stomach.
King-Fingolfin
Pacman can eat Intangible Beings.
He is leet.

Indeed, so he can probably eat anythign Megaman shoots at him.

Is this with or without a Power Pellet? Without it, Pacman is definitely toast. Eh, even with it, Mega Man could still reverse gravity with Gravity Hold and fling Pacman into space.
Giving Pac Man his Fireball attack from Pac-In-Time might help to even things out, but even then, the Pac is seriously outgunned.
I-Drop
Megaman shoots the shit out of him.
MooCowofJustice
Pacman eats dots. Megaman shoots dots.
Can we use Pacman World in this too? :O

Can we use Pacman World in this too? :O Mega Man shoots focused plasma. Pac-Man eats pac-dots. Plasma =/= pac-dots.
ScreamPaste
It all goes to the same place, plasma, or 'fast moving air', will eventually slow down and be harmless, and once pacman ingests it, it will be in an extradimensional void with all of eternity to slow down and cool off.
KingD19
Megaman can jump, making Pac-Mans trying to eat him useless. And if we're using Megaman Legends, or EXT, or any of the recent Megaman games, then Pac is toast.

You should know better.
Plasma is not 'fast moving air'. It is a superheated state of matter distinct from solids, liquids, and gases because of its extremely high temperature and highly charged nature. Plasma in the range of 5,000 to 15,000 degrees C is not uncommon for Mega Man's weapons. By contrast, the hottest fire burns at about 2,000 degrees C.
If the Pacster gets hit by a plasma blast, he will hurt. A lot.
MooCowofJustice
Don't molecules move faster when they get heated up?
Plasma wouldn't really hurt you at that point. Wouldn't it basically disintegrate you before you could even feel pain?
Mandrag Ganon
Depends on how much hits you. But yea, you'd be pretty much dead if hit in the stomach, chest, or head, as it would burn a hole through your body.
When it comes right down to it, I'd have to side with Mega Man, simply because Mega Man cound stand back firing all kinds of weapons at Pac Man, And Pac will eventually miss eating something and get killed. Also Pac probably wouldn't be able to close the distance needed either. Not to mention if Mega Man has the Rush armor, then Pac would never reach Mega Man.
ScreamPaste
Fire is plasma, it's fast moving air. And fire can burn hotter than 2000 degrees, infact, I've been burnt by it. Google magnesium, I had my ear cooked by a flaming ball of the shit in a second. It didn't disintegrate anything, the problem with plasma theory is that it depends on heat conduction, human flesh does conduct heat at a decent rate, but the effect is not disintegration.
KingD19
Regardless, Pac Man still loses.
MooCowofJustice
Pac Man won't miss eating anything, unless Megaman has the ghosts ambush him from behind. He won't ever stop eating, he never does that in the game unless you win or get killed because a ghost ambushed you.

Actually there is a difference between fire and plasma.
Plasma: a highly ionized gas containing an approximately equal number of positive ions and electrons.
However, because of the way it is charged it responds strongly to magnetic fields, which gives it properties that are unlike solids, Liquids, and gasses, so it is deemed as a seperate state of matter.
Fire, however is more or less the product of heat, oxygen, and some form of fuel.) It is more-or-less just intense thermal energy.
ScreamPaste
Fire is a form of plasmatic matter. We're arguing semantics now.
Edit; my point about heat conduction stands, you can only conduct heat into matter so fast, prolonged contact is necessary for real life-threatening damage to occur.
Kazenji
Are the newer Pac-Man games allowed in this fight?
KingD19
It doesn't matter, Megaman can shoot Pac-Man when his mouth closes, and his more powerful attacks like the shining laser from Legends 1-2 can totally obliterate him.

You are making a general statement. The more focused the heat at the point of impact, and the hotter its temperature, the less time it would take to damage an object.
Its academic, really, since we have examples of Mega Man's blasts destroying titanium (yes, titanium this time) as well as more durable materials.
ScreamPaste
Which would require a combination of heat to make the metal malleable, and titanium heats much easier than steel, and cuncussive force.
Fact is in real life science that heat cunducts through matter at a given rate depending on the type of matter, this is why men can walk on hot coals without damage to their feet. Take it from a guy who has his bare skin exposed to chemical flame for over a second.
Acrosurge
Staying on topic, based on the fact that Mega Man has destroyed titanium and other more durable materials, Pac-Man (not displaying the durability of titanium) would not be in healthy shape when shot by the Mega Buster.
The Pacster is still a VG legend, however and deserves respect.
