Exactly. Concealed or not, minds so honed in on mystery deciphering as LOST fans cannot help but piece together stuff from the surrounding conversation, as you say.

This way, we dont disclose (or even hint at, if one of us knows something) anything past the episodes we have been shown.
(Beyond official podcast content) and stuff.

So this is like a "LOST pure" type thread.

At this stage in the game, spoilers are not just "Enjoyment of season ruiners", they could be "enjoyment of whole show ruiners" - so if anyone discloses stuff, Theyll have their neck suddenly snapped like Widemore's buddy in the woods.

Well this week was a a prime example of why Ive abandoned spoilerage. The only thing that really surpised/gripped me was the prospect of more temple and Ben/Alpert stuff.
(Since I knew about the Jack Ben treatment decision and the ensuing disapproval/conflict among the losties)

I think the "Alex" from Wed. was just a manifestation of the Smoke monster to get his point acoss. Im thinking the statue is that of Anubis because of the symbol in the wall. As for the 2 taking charge, my guess would be Illana and Locke. She knows more than shes telling.

If they were, weren't they supposed to know what the statue is, and not ask about it?... If whatever happened happened, then you couldnt, unless Jughead was actually a neutron bomb or something, then it cant go off where it is buried, or there would be no villiage.
But at least we know why the others in the village stopped being able to concieve if they were living in the village directly over the thing.
