I saw American Beauty for the first time today, and I have to say that Sam Mendes is a genious. Saw Road to Perdition not so long ago too. Wasn't as good but Mendes still shined!

But of course directing will only take a movie so far.
Allen Balls screenplay along with Mendes directing, and of course the actors is what made AB a masterpiece.

I haven't see RtoP, gonna rent it when it comes out.

I didn't like it. It didn't really do anything for me. I wouldn't say I was disappointed, It was just like "OK whatever, not as good as people say it is." It was pretty depressing too. But I appreciated the movie and the actors.

Man. I didnt say I was in love with Ninja Turtles!! I just grew up with the first one and I have great great respect for it. Its one of those childhood movies.
