If you look carefully, you can see Batman using his heat vision to explode the bullets before they hit Superman. That's why Batman is squinting in the pic. And why his eyes are white. White indicates something hotter than Red temperature wise...

Actually, Batman thought about using the batkick and the bullets ran away.
