Seriously speaking, Thanos could turn him into a statue. But with Rulk's writing he'd be more likely to stand around waiting to get beaten to death. Maybe get cut off mid-dialogue with some clever quip and a fist to the face.

To get things straight, when you say "no power ups" for Thanos, does that mean Thanos with all of his normal powers, or is this a purely physical battle? Either way I'd actually take Thanos for the way Galactus punked him with the eyebeams while he had Surfer's powers on top of his own, and Thanos's energy blasts pack a lot of punch.

Out of a brawl Thanos wins but in a brawl....well Rulk killed the Grand Master so....

Like it matters when facing Rulk. The dude KOes celestials, heralds and elders of the universe as a warm up. Thanos gets his box spanked. Now go back to the Phantom Zone as a time out. Thanks. biscuits

Celestials, really?

The only Elder of the Universe that would be a problem for Thanos is The Runner. Other than that, Thanos is probably capable of two-shotting any of them with an energy attack.

Watchers are easy to knock on their ass when they aren't fighting back.

Thanos can win with a gesture.

but the question to answer is if thanos could conjure up enough power to defeat rulk that a piss galactus shot didnt do. Rulk was just fine after that attack.

No, he reabsorbed Surfer's PC and then blasted him with his eye beams...I think he blasted him across time and space, because that was a younger Galactus after just making Surfer...and he blasts Rulk back to the Grandmaster, in our current timeline. So...

Rulk isn't generating enough power to put Thanos down before he overheats himself. Professor Hulk had Rulk pinned and had an opportunity to kill Rulk, but didn't even want to fight him in the first place. Thanos has easily taken on Professor Hulk twice before like he was nothing. Rulk also was going to be killed by Thor the second time around. Was one-shot by Savage Hulk after he overheated. And at the end of Hulk 12 his punch was easily stopped by Hulk and then knocked into a mountain by him. Rulk's about on Hulk's level strengthwise. A bit higher up. Not anywhere near enough to put Thanos down.

Thanos would beat him like a redneck's wife physically, or BFR with a middle-finger gesture. Easily.

Rulk gets his ass kicked by Thanos every time.

Yes, the blast did send him through time. Either that or one of the Elders brought him back, which seems very unlikely (they could've done it earlier and avoid Galactus' wrath).

Thanos rarely uses the Power Cosmic. And when he does, its not in him. He taps it from his ship. Similar to Galactus.
