If Hal Jordan can catch Zoom, Alan Scott can catch Impulse.

Zoom was fighting Superman, Wonder Woman, and Hal at the same time - so I don't really think that's a good line of logic.

Impulse could grab a box of toothpicks or pencils and use them like Jesse Ventura's minigun in Predator.
