The New Guy from Ghostbusters: The Video Game has to face his toughest ghost hunting challenge in his career: Hunting down Alma from FEAR.

The hunt is on in the grand hotel.

The New Guy does not have his teammates with him because they're too busy fighting other ghosts in New York.

Will the New Guy capture Alma or will she get him first?

Nemesis X
Am I gonna guess that there's something wrong with this match?

The problem with this post is the balance.

The New Guy doesn't stand a chance. Even with the whole Ghostbusters team with him, their life expectancy would still be less that 60sec post encounter.

A meeting between Alma and ANY Ghostbuster has only one practical result: a heap of singed skeletons and a fresh coat of Ghostbuster-paste on the walls and floor.

If all of the Ghostbusters were here then they would stomp Alma. He can't win because it takes a team to bust a ghost. 3 of them hold the ghost in place with the beam and the 4th kicks the little ghost trap thing. One person can't do all that.

I guess that explains why the solo portion of the game has you being able to drop ghoulies via sliming the crap out of them.

Any big bad ghoulies or cannon fodder ghoulies?

A bit of a mix. Ton of black slime around, and all the baddies were weak against the slime gun. I remember fighting a few slime golem dudes.

Well you can thank the moderators for not allowing the other four in here since they aren't originated from videogames. The only one in Ghostbusters that's originated from a game is the New Guy.

Unfortunately, the Ghostbusters would still lose even if all members were present.

While Alma was mutilating SOF-D teams in F.E.A.R., she was sealed inside a massive vault that was specifically designed to suppressed her powers. If by some miracle the Ghostbusters manage to catch her in the Ghost Trap, she'd simply kill them from inside it.

We Also must remember that Alma may be nothing more than a psychologically created apparition, not an ectoplasmic ghost, so they may be unable to touch her in the first place, whereas she could liquefy them with a mere thought.

And yet Alma couldn't liquify the Point Man when she thought of him as an enemy way before she knew he was her son?

It is explained during the game that the Pointman is an enigma for Alma. Unlike his short-lived comrades, the Pointman can directly link into and view Alma's mind; Alma on the other hand is unable to view the Pointman's mind due to the blocks put in there by Armacham when they wiped his memory and sent him away as a failed project.

For this reason, Alma finds it more beneficial to toy with this nuisance in an attempt to break into his mind and figure out why he is different. When she eventually succeeds, however, she discovers that he is her son and promptly changes her mind about killing him.
