Can anybody defeat Jean Gray/pheonix force 1 on 1



No Cosmic entities

Earth Based heroes, asgardians etc. only, Gods our allowed unless they are cosmic

Beating Phoenix doesn't make you the most powerful earth based hero or villain.

Since you defined cosmic I'll say Thanos, Surfer, Doom, Thor etc.

You obviously don't know much about Phoenix. With the IG Thanos would probably win. Without it Phoenix kills so easily it's uber spite.

I've read the IG series and know what it's capable of. What's less clear is exactly how powerful the Phoenix force is. I also know that without a plot device Thanos is below Odin which definitly puts him below Phoenix.
