there really isn't even any compelling evidence to say he in definite trans level. ss has accomplished nearly everything alan has.

I've seen scans of Hal using Alan's wood weakness against him though.. Created wooden insects.

His power source is supposed to be pretty much all the Chaos magic in DC, and that goes for pre Sentinel version... You'd need to be an amped GL like Ion to really have a shot against him.
