Why is big G not capable of nullifying willpower?
Willpower is just a part of all lifeforce... and Galactus is capable of destroying all lifeforce in the Universe.
What is with willpower as source of energy anyway?
P.S. What will stop Galactus from erasing just sentient avatar of willpower, leaving it intact? It's not like he can't play Ion's role himself...

Galactus wins with the un.

But then you'd have a giant translucent space whale floating right in front of you. In that moment Galactus would be caught of guard with a WTF look on his face and the whale would just shit green light in his face for the KO.

PIS gotta love it
