Quite simply, even if the hero actually made them invincible, it won't do them any good. The JLA will win the moment the hero runs out. Or J'onn could just mindrape them.

or cast them intermittently...

depending on the situation, squall can pull off a lionheart up to 4x before the hero wears off...

lionheart on anybody = pwnage...
