Larf can definitely breach Monarch's armor, thus forcing him to detonate. However, Larf would almost certainly be killed by the subsequent explosion.

Couldn't he create a shield to withstand it? It's not like the explosion was all concentrated in one very small area.

I mean we know it was a big explosion in terms of the radius, but how potent is the energy itself?
