Higher end demon. On the level of PC Spectre. I think he also had the upperhand on Corrigan Spectre.

when did he fight spectre?id like to read that one.

They also fought in an issue of Showcase. Azmodus was equal to Pre-Crisis Spectre.

The Spectre had to send Azmodus to the end of the universe, to a non time, non space zone (after the universe destruction) to defeat him. Not sure Mephisto has it in him to do that.
