The electronic lightsabers that are already out (here in the US) are fine . . . as long you don't hit anything very hard with them.

i'm waiting for 'real' sabers to come..then i'll buy one.

u cant make one- first, u need a certain type of motor, and second, u need either a huge and totally pure diamond or several large and totally pure gemstones. and then, u have to wire it carefully. there are so many ways it could be screwed up, its not even funny. besides, only a jedi can master it. read the books, watch the movies, read other books, like the one on weapons for instance. good luck making one!

I wouldn't pay that much for a lightsaber...at least not yet:-)
