tough one, but I can see either winning. When Rachel was in a coma, the Phoenix nearly killed Galactus (weakened state).

Galactus & Phoenix have only battled twice.

First time was in a What If, and, it was a stalemate,
until Galactus got bored and moved on,
Galactus stated that with time, he would destroy Phoenix.

Second time was while Galactus was starving,
and Galactus lost in that scenario.

That's it.

Now, SS-I Galactus (as in had he absorbed TAA II)

vs Phoenix (any version) ...

Galactus stomps.

ah, I never said morg has the UN or Norrin channels the crunch...merely that as "avatars" of the Phoenix...the Greys have some severe caveats on their durability, and one of the caveats was shown to be enough to kill the avatar, when a specific tactic is used. As a result of that tactic, the force remains, but the avatar does not. It is a viable tactic, however unlikely it may be.

Reed using a gun to destroy alternate celestial...viable tactic, however unlikely it may be.

Tyrant using Galactus' own machines to nearly kill Galactus...viable tactic, however unlikely it may be

Sufer using Galactus' own machines to actually kill Galactus...viable tactic, however unlikely it may be

Killing Thanos quickly and efficiently with one's bare hand...viable tactic, provided you have Drax

all viable, however unlikely they may be sly

But its silly, the feat used to defeat the Force
