After his run-ins with Neo Zeed, Joe decides to live a nice quiet life with his woman.
But it is after the destruction of the Oboro Clan that Hotsuma asks for Joe's help in rebuilding the clan. Joe agrees, and within three years, the Oboro clan is back, stronger as ever.
However, Joe finds himself in the crosshairs of the Mugen Tenshin clan after he and the missus aided Kasumi in giving the Hajinmon hitsquads the slip (Even Joe can see that Kasumi had more honor than her former clan when she went after Raidou).
But Hayate is not fooled. He sends a squad of Hajinmon ninja to Joe's doorstep...only to have the legendary Shinobi stomp nuts on the Hajinmon squad.
So now, Hayate, along with Ayane, decides to deal with this matter personally.
But Joe is ready for them. Donning his white ninja uniform, Akujiki in hand, he prepares for the fight of his life.
Ninpo is enabled. Anything goes.
Trivia: In the opening for The Revenge of Shinobi for Sega, the ninja seen deflecting the shuriken with his katana is a digitized image of legendary badass Sonny Chiba (as Hanzo Hattori) from Shadow Warriors. Seriously.
