I remember issues of Mighty Samson when I was a weee little boy (though they were done printing before I got into comics, around '80)

Didn't Alex Ross do an homage, or something, a couple years ago?

Can't say I actually know/remember enough to judge the character, but I think I have to give it to Hercules, all around... but that is based on memories from almost 30 years ago, so...
