Kinda, but I think Geoff has a different approach. I think he's pure darkness, the oppposite of Light. Or the Entity. The one who birthed the universe.

So far, Nekron hasn't shown anything that he puts him above even The Source.

Until it is written on-panel, The Source is everything in DC.
That includes life and death and everything in between.

Of course..

The Source is but a part of The Presence.

But it is the fundamental energy/force that binds all of DC's universes together, and the source of life and death... unless DC retcon/has retconned it.
