He managed to pull a stalemate against Gambit before he was a Daywalker.

It looked like Gambit had the upperhand to me and that's with Blade having the advantage of an ambush.
This doesn't apply to current Blade of course. I don't know enough about his upgrades to comment.

Instead he sliced his cigarette in half. Gambit landed on his knees and Blade landed in a push-up position. His body didn't touch the ground.

Gambit landed crouched. He wasn't on his knees. The panel afterwards is after they have changed positions and Gambit is kneeling on one knee. This is evidenced by the fact that Blade is now sitting upright instead of laying down and Gambit's right knee is now on the ground. Whether Blade "fell" or "landed" may be a matter of perception. I'll admit that. He still seems to be in the disadvantageous position with a guy who drop bombs standing over him.Originally posted by snoopdogg

Gambit's head was behind the tombstone. Blade struck with a stab intended for an unaware Gambit's head and just missed. It was an ambush. I'm thinking Blade thought Remy was a vampire.
What exactly is the extent of Blade's new abilities anyway?

Metalmanx
Um, most of Gambit's stats are superhuman, too. I think this match is A LOT closer than most people are saying.
Darth Martin
Gambit's stats are superhuman to nearly match Blade's. He can't hold a prayer against Blade in a H2H confrontation but nothing's stopping Gambit from NUKING the area. Gambit 8/10.
Darth Martin
Blade's best chance is guns. But then again Gambit is on the top 5 Marvel agility list.

I've see Gambit dodge bullets : D

What exactly is the extent of Blade's new abilities anyway? You think Blade missed Gambit's head and just happened to slice his cigarrete in half? That's unlikely as Blade is one of the most accurate guys in comics with his weapons. It comes with the job.
I don't think Blade anticipated Gambit to throw exloding cards left and right either.

No, I don't mean it as a knock to Blade's accuracy. I'm saying that Gambit's head was hidden by the tombstone. Blade stabbed at where he thought Gambit's head was. He didn't seem to be holding back as the next panel depicts Blade trying to slice Gambit in half. Blade's initial desire to kill him leads me to believe that the first stab was intented for Gambit's head. He just missed because Gambit was behind something. It looks like an ambush for about the same reasons.
Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I know he's superhuman. I'm asking for the extent of his upgrades.

I know he's superhuman. I'm asking for the extent of his upgrades. welll he takes bullets pretty easily (they dont put him down) hes dodged machine gunfire near point blank. His bio says 1 ton strength and right now hi sfests dont indicate otherwise.

it seemed like a stalemate i nthat fight which is wy I made the thread
TricksterPriest
It's kind of hard to find a way to take Gambit out in any location out in the open, or with small objects around. There's almost nothing stopping him from spamming projectiles and carpet bombing the area.
But with no arena specified, we're in basically a Khazan style arena. Which means nothing for him to use except whatever cards or whatever he is carrying.
Can he charge up people or not?

Can he charge up people or not? he can charge non-organic materals, meaning if he got a hold of blades trenh coat long enough he could charge it up
