Round 1: Morlun vs Lion-O in a random encounter

Round 2: Morlun invades Thundera similar to how he did Wakanda. Can the Thundercats stop him?


Who wins?

A few years back, this would've been a very one sided victory for morlun. Morlan takes number one more often than not and loses number two.

curious how you think they'd stop him. i'm with your initial assessment--morlun would crush them in both scenarios unless we factor in help from other beings on thundara...

If we're going by current comic book feats, Lion-O just used the sword to amp him up to near He-Man stat levels.

uh, haven't seen that. that could do it maybe. morlun does have a couple pretty crazy feats though....

Basically an insane zombie He-Man. Or He-Man the Everliving.

Highlight of the series for me.

Anyways, just for the record, even in the toon the Cats and friends have some nice feats. Remember Safari Joe? Big game hunter? I believe it was him that Lion-O grappled his escaping space ship with his claw shield line, and using nothing but his strength yanked it to the ground.

Then there was the giant four legged robot he stood underneath his crushing foot, piercing up into a weak point.

He also matched Panthro, who himself lifted up the Thundertank along the top and tossed it a good 10-20 feet or so.

Then there's Hachiman, the samurai who cut red woods like matchsticks and went into a halo jump without a 'chute, bounding down off trees and such. Another guy Lion-O kept up with.

Not up to date on the most current stuff. Only read some of the crossover with He Man. Thought with full team and resources might be a bit tough for him.
