Two teams.
Team one: Every character from the Harry Potter movies/novels and every character from Lord of the Rings movies/novels.
Team two: Every character in the X Men movies/comics and all characters from the TV show/comic Heroes.
World wide battle for rule of Earth. The battle takes place everywhere, the entire planet is the battlefield. Team one starts out in North America, Team two starts out in Europe. Both teams have intense knowledge of each other and have a full day to prepare for the coming battle. Morals are off, for example, Potter will use Avada Kedavra at will.
Each team has access to all powers/weapons/resources they have in their respective media. Anything goes. Time travel, Cerebro, undead armies, it's all good. Bloodlust is on.

Couldnt comic book Xavier just use Cerebro to make everyone else brain dead?
The time travel angle looks too tricky. It could just go on in an endless loop.

Occlumency.

Didn't stop it from being effective every time Hermione used it and the final time Harry and Hermione used it to save Sirius. Although I do wonder how they're gonna do it since they supposedly smashed all the remaining time turners in the Department of Mysteries.
Newjak
There are mutants that alter reality on a massive scale.
There have been X-Men that are lords of an entire hell dimension.
Magik the hell lord I was talking about even has a sword whose ability is to dissipate magic.
Impediment
Also, if I may, the roster for team 2 far outweighs team 1. There are many, many more mutants than there are wizards and Middle Earthlings.
Robtard
Hard to say, as you have some LOTR characters that are essentially gods and you have the Phoenix Force and the Omega Level mutants like Iceman.
Casper Whitey
You are all welcome.
Casper Whitey
No "Gods." Earth bound combatants only.
Nephthys
In that case major mutant stomp.
Robtard
Xavier could potentially solo everyone with a mind ****, as Impdick pointed out. Occulmency isn't shit compared to what comic Xavier's mind can do.
Jean imbued with The Phoenix Force is a universal level power.
Nephthys
Pretty sure the Phoenix Force counts as a 'god.'

Casper Whitey
OK, you guys list the players that make this unfair.
Impediment
Xavier mind wipes everyone. He's not a god, though.
Omega Mutants, while not gods, are unbelievably powerful.
Phoenix solos.
Is Onslaught in the mutant roster?
Casper Whitey
Would Xaviers mind powers work on that undead army, or Gandalf? Or that big eye thingie? And what about the heroes? And the Potter wizards powers?
ares834
Plenty mutants could solo such as Franklin Richards and Mad Jim Jaspers.
juggerman
Juggernaut solos

LoL.
the ninjak
X-man, Legion and Franklin Richards and Magik win this for the Earthbound mutants.

The thread is unfair in general, the mutants would wipe the floor with team 1. Most of them can solo.
Casper Whitey
Solo? Who can solo? You aren't fully appreciating the magic users powers.
Impediment
The Phoenix Force is a cosmic entity that has unparralled psychic powers and can consume stars.
Magic isn't touching Phoenix, be it Hogwarts or Middle Earth.
Impediment
Onslaught could solo.
Proteus, too.

Magic isn't touching Phoenix, be it Hogwarts or Middle Earth. Remember what I said about Godlike beings?

You aren't fully appreciating the characters that can create entire Universes like Franklin.
Casper Whitey
Creating a universe, how does that help here?
ares834
That's the raw kind of power Franklin has. He can create universes, make Galactus his *****, pwn Space Gods, etc...
marwash22
the OP severely underestimated the number of comic characters with ridiculous power.

Impediment
Onslaught isn't a god. It's a manifestation of Xavier's and Magneto's psyches. Onslaught pwned Juggernaut, the FF, the X-Men, and the Avengers.
NemeBro
Why are people bringing up characters like Proteus, or Franklin Richards?
Magneto is all that is needed here.
Relativistic reaction-time + power to knock Earth off its axis = gg HP

OK, all characters are in this. Every single person shown in the movies, every single person in the books.
ffs.
