Doom and Luthor in the 2nd (serious the shit he writers were smoking...)

Pc Luthor easily

He trapped superman in a time vortex with a hand magnet a soda can a lemon and some other random nonsense items he got from a jail cell

I believe he also gave himself Superman-equivalent powers messing around with the wires of an ancient radio for a moment.

Power Armor that allowed him to hold his own against a PC Kryptonian right? Doom's armor isn't doing that, not without magic that is.

Its still a small nation isn't it? Therefore considerably less resource rich than an entire planet. Particularly a PC Planet. (PC is always better)

And Luthor is pretty much single handedly responsible for making Lexor a wealthy and successful planet. He did such a good job, the people looked on him as a hero and savior.

Inspiring loyalty and success in your people is always smarter than the old iron handed dictator routine, because their strengths become "your" strengths..

Doubtful. Luthor uncovered a lot of their lost technology, lost a fight to Superman to transport water to the planet, and made it a thriving paradise..

Dooms tech and science is equal to virtually anything, but his country is basically just a wasteland, and his people downtrodden cattle.

stockholm syndrom is bullshit.

Latverians are usually not protrayed as an underclass that starves and is exploited while the monarch prospers.

Most stories show latveria as a nation of equitative material prosperity unlike anythig in the real world, zero unemployment, free universal education and health care, almost no crime, and a very high level of contentment, but with very limited civil liberties, brutal repression of dissidence, and no say whatsoever in government decisions. This is the prosperity and 'happiness' (as he and his followers see it) that doom seeks to spread throughout the world, provided everyone gives up autonomy and accepts his will above their own. Even though he is a dictator, his people would most likely vote for him repeatedly if he ran for office.

Yugoslavia was stable until the Civil War but it certainly was never prosperous by any definition of the word.

The only reason Marshall Tito was able to stay neutral in the Soviet-Sino split was the fact that Yugoslavia had little real strategic importance and was rather poor.

It wasn't poor. Its quality of life was pretty much the highest of the communist bloc, because it did not follow moscow's political and economic directions and their economy was based on the production of consumer goods instead of megaindustrial-military development.

The reason they managed to stay free of stalin's influence is that yugoslavia was the only eastern bloc country to liberate itself from the III reich without the red army. The regimes quickly distanced from each other after WWII, before the ruptyre between russia and china. The degree of personal freedoms within the country was also much much higher than in the soviet union.

The planet that's in such bad shape, the inhabitants keep trying to conquer other worlds? And can't even deal with a single giant super robot, (Seriously, try releasing ALL the Ro-Beasts at once instead of once at a time and maybe a cannon fodder fleat.) Not exactly a feather in Dooms cap. laughing

The "growth" magic could make for some interesting FF scenerios though..

They'd be more obvious Doom Bots, but they'd be 100 foot Doom Bots.
