Darth Truculent
In Backlash, the former Jedi Candidate Dyon Stadd after killing a Sith Saber, 'captured' her lightsaber and kept it. Luke encouraged this. Do Jedi commonly keep their victims weapons after they defeated them as a 'war trophy?"

Only other instance I can think of is when Kenobi took Anakins.

Hybris
Obi-Wan took it because George Lucas needed Obi Wan to have it in A New Hope wink

And I doubt he really considered it a trophy... He thought he had finished Anakin off for good. Maybe he didn't just want to see such a noble weapon go to waste?

Lord Lucien
Kenobi's instance was probably born of sentimentality, not boastfulness/pride.

Never heard of that other one.

truejedi
where was this in backlash? was it after the fight at the end?

mattatom
I meant as in a Jedi taking anothers saber, rather than a trophy.
