Like what the title says. who looks like their design just hits the spot when it comes to just looking badass be it color scheme, art design, and or style?


the few that come to mind to me are:

Nova Prime - all i can say is he is off the hook!!!!!!!!! best looking hero.
Black Adam - with him, less is more. excellent color scheme and just a timeless design.
Quasar - did you guys see his new look? very very nice.
Superboy (Conner) - what can i say, black tee with an S and jeans. just badass!!
Green Lantern (Hal) - always looked cool. nice color scheme.
Thor - He really looks like one bad muthafffka with his current look. Marvel really hit it on the nose with this one.

I think I can say Vartox without any argument.

I really really like Wonder Woman's look when she gears up. Not so much her basic look, and not full armor, but when she adds the leather skirt, shield, axe, and so on. Great colors and a more robust outfit than standard.

- I'm a big fan of Captain America's WW2 uniform and his angular sheild not the circle one.

- Iron Man - Just some of his suits are simply badass.

- Super Boy Prime - With his suit. Also Superman with the red and white (think he was evil or something)

- Hal as Ion when he had the cape.

- I forget which GL maybe alan scott but he had green armor and fought with a green sword.

- Maverick

- Mr. Negative

- Spiderman in his many suits (it just works so well)

Hyperstorm, Onslaught and Exodus, a bit over the top but it works.

Thor needs to get a better looking helmet. Has irritated me for years, still looks like some mail order junk. Less shiny and some engravings would be a good start.

i like his helmet now. looks so much better with that reverse peak pointing down the middle a bit.

Forgot to mention Black Bolt. The fork on his forehead and the "under" wings just works well.

Seriously though, I always liked Barda... She manages to look tough, but hot at the same time...

And she's a lot cooler than Wonder Woman.

The xmen 1 issue cover drawn by Jim lee for example is great artwork...

But as far as costume design itself... And the look

Apocalypse is great in most incarnations. He could do without the big ridicolous A on his belt tho.

Surfer: gleaming simplicity.

Original Spider-Man / Parallax: best spins on the traditional spandex/gloves/boots/cape theme.

Aegis: cosmic-female gleaming simplicity.

Thor: his new look is perhaps the best costume upgrade I've ever seen.

I'm not sure which, but Nova has had some very cool armor/suit designs.

Photon (the one who looks wrapped in the night sky): simple, striking.

Hulk: you can't beat indestructible purple pants. About as natural a non-costume costume as you can get.
