Vyn should easily break Thanos.

Vyn with the equipment was able to beat Mxy, that same Mxy that pulls a Universe out of his hat as a simple trick. Able to mess with Superman's life in the past, present and future.

Thanos needs the HOTU to beat Vyn.

With the IG, creating a universe is well within Thanos' power as would trolling Kal across time.

From what i remember, Thanos never created a Universe when he had the IG.

With the HOTU at his command, Thanos still had to die to fix the elemental flaw.

Vyn with the Multispear was able to kill the King, though it was a cheap shot. But still, with the death of the King, 203 worlds were instanstly destroyed.

That feat can be subjective from one's perspective.
1. Does that mean the King himself was linked to all those worlds, and if so, how come there home world weren't destroyed?
2. Was it just a backlash from the King's powers, and again why weren't there home world destroyed?

With the IG Thanos loses, with the HOTU he wins.

Magus created one with the 5 cosmic cubes he had and even then the entire arc pointed to the IG being the more powerful weapon.

Most people would consider 5D Imps (especially Mxy) above the IG, but I can't rule out the possibility of the DCnU nerfing Imps to be below Thanos here.

^ Mxy just pulled the entire mainstream DCU out of his derby hat, and was able to manipulate it at a fundamental level-- so it doesn't *seem* like he's been nerfed too badly.

However, there is still more than enough time for said nerfage to take place.

The only thing that puts Mxyztplk over the Infinity Gems is World's Funnest, which can hardly be considered the standard for Mxyztplk's power, let alone the 5D imps's.

I'm not saying Mxy was nerfed, we just haven't been able to tell yet, IMO.

Also, I'm not sure pulling a universe out of a hat is proof Mxy is above Thanos w/ IG...as impressive as it is. Ditto for the million pointed multispear and nothingcoat.
