After the slaying of the Jedi Apprentice, Saba stated that they'll strike back. Does that mean open combat or diplomatic?

I don't see how the NJO could plausibly effectively wage war against the GA. It's possible that they could wage a guerrilla war, possibly eliminating (probably killing) Daala and hopefully her successor (probably Dorvan) would be more reasonable. They could also look for allies. But they're trapped in the Temple right now and surrounded, and the NJO Council without Luke is terribly ineffective. If Luke comes back and the NJO finds a way to break through the siege and escape, it's possible, but would they really want to wage war on the GA? What would that give them? And this already happened in LOTF. I doubt that the authors would repeat the storyline to that degree in this series.
