Sounds similar to what Thanos did to his daughter in Infinity Gauntlet.

I'f it threatened the universe then I'll have to check this dude out.

The Rot, obviously, it just operates on a much higher playing field. Void is just a death god at most while the rot is on par with death herself.

Not really a dude, it was a giant black "zone" with no real sentience to speak of.
