Gonna hand it to mr. x beating taskmaster is no easy feat and the slight mindreading he has to anticipate his next actions gives him the edge over deathstroke.

Ifeel the same way but Slade isnt going to go down easy. And he may be smart enough and cunning enough to think a couple steps ahead to somewhat counter X's mind reading?

That wouldent help because he can read your mind and know what your planning several steps a head which makes it even easier for him. Thats what he did was taskmaster.

Yeah the trick is not to think at all. In that case wolverines berserker state helped because he couldn't read his next move because Wolverine didn't even know what he was going to do.

true however Mr.X actaully trained his powers against this, that no longer works.

He'd have a much better chance against pre-DCnU Slade depending on what weaponry he has due to Slade's armor upgrade. I still don't see how he'll physically put slade down without some sort of weapon.

Which version of Slade would win? Old or new?

The DCnu Slade seems to be virtually the same except for an upgrade in armor(nth metal). X will need more than swords or guns to get through it. He has a chance against old slade because he could actually penetrate his armor and do damage with weaponry. Although slade has fought through gunfire, explosions, and being impaled before.
