he doesnt have to kill him just weaken and pummel him till he can no longer maintain his form.

I'm going with a stalemate here, AM has to asborb the sand to stand a chance and then it's it's stalemate. AM is more powerful granted, but here is nothing to absorb except Sandman himself.

Of course people can argue now who has more control about sand but I'm not going into this.

Yeah, AM aborbs him and SM can do nothing.

He absorbs the properties of Sandman, not Sandman himself. AM is a big moron though but with cool powers.
