Also of note, Superman Blue wasn't able to hurt him, and he had first beat down J'onn (though his touch burned, which made it easier).

He wasn't beaten, just *banished*.





Yea, angels of that sort can be banished with a specific frequency that some in the choir of heaven can make or some such. Zauriel had it too.
