Nods to dmills. Anyway, which heroes/villains does DC have that make use of prep/planning to get what they want? Some of the ones I know are...

You can use both if you want, but I was just thinking prep style characters. And I just included some of the lesser known characters.

McNasty996
Alexander Luthor

Good call with Constantine- he's probably the (or at least tied 1st) best prep/planners in DC.

The odds the man has overcome due to his planning are freaking ridiculous is scope, considering the power half of the victims of his plans have (FotF, The Beast etc)

Would you put him with the best of DC/MU? Like Reed, Doom, Batman, etc...?

Lord Feron
Constantine, Alex Luthor

Few has reach the level that is Alexander Luthor.
Maxwell Lord
Tangent Superman
Darkseid.

Considering his past feats in this area, and the fact that even the Presence has acknowledged how good Constantine is at scheming, I would.

I say Alex Luthor is the smartest human in comics. Definitely a peer to Reed or avove, IMO.

Wow, even Presence acknowledged Constantine? Do you think Constantine can outthink Lucifer?

Alexander Luthor He was good for his one appearence. But he made one very fatal mistake.

He didn't let the Joker play. And there in lies another name to put in contention. The Joker himself would be insulted not to be on this list.

And I don't think Constantine can beat Lucifer. That's one fight where John is outclassed in his best area.

Superman isn't bad. He once prepped for the Earth's destruction by creating a new one.

Brainiac.

Black bolt z
Darkseid does deserve mentions.

Presence acknowledges that in at the most 500 years, Constantine could take over Hell and organise it (Considering it takes millenia for a person to become a demon in Vertigo Hell, that's a very bold claim).

And Lucifer would probably be one of the few people John would have a problem with, mainly because he basically has Constantine's manipulation skills, but added to that 14 billion years of experience and knowledge. It's Lucifer's knowledge and own skill at trickery that would give him a win in a preping contest with John, considering Constantine has already made someone nearly as powerful (Gabriel) his slave effectively through schemeing.

BullwinkleMoose
Lucifer should be added

The arc was called For Tomorrow, and ran from Superman #204 - #215 (i think). Azarello wrote, and Jim Lee did the art.

Hush is an honorable mention. Guy nearly drove Batman to the brink. Another choice would be Dr. Hurt.

Sinestro is actually a frighteningly good prepper/tactician. He manipulated the Guardians and the GLC into re-writing the Book of Oa for his own warped agenda.

So, anyone have any spoilers to what Max did in the latest JLA?
