Orion loses his best chance to counter Majestic's speed which was the astro harness.

Orion is fast enough to contend with his father and Superman minus the harness. And where does it say he can't use it to fly in this fight?

Orion is a great fighter. Nearly defeated the greatest martial artist in the universe, even though he was in pacifist mode.
