be alot higher then guild wars 1? i could play gw at like 15fps so im wondering if ill have to buy a new pc

15fps?....yeah, you should buy a new PC.

You may be able to get buy with upgrading your CPU, buying more RAM, or upgrading your video card.

Upgrading the CPU depends completely upon the architecture that your motherboard supports. For example, you may read something like this, "this motherboard series supports all core i7 architectures." That's just an example is is probably not something you would ever read.

Edit - What you'd REALLY have to do is check to see the socket type the CPU can support. You'll have a listing for the socket types that it can support and it will be something like this:

LGA 1366
LGA 1156
LGA 1155
µPGA-988
BGA-1288

Also, this is the wrong section to be posting these threads in. Not really your fault because you're new, here.

The PC section is in the video game section towards the bottom of the main forum page.

Na, I bet he can still stream porn without a problem; that's 96% of a PC's usage.

As I am one of the resident GW/GW2 nerds here...

GW2 isn't out, won't be out for a while, has no release date set, and there's no word on requirements for it yet. ArenaNet is making a point of working to make GW2 run fine on a mid-range computer (average stuff, not a high end gaming machine), and in one of their recent blog articles they mention hunting down tons of older graphics cards to test compatibility, but it'll definitely have higher requirements than the first game.

If you're barely running GW - and 15fps I'd say is barely able to run it - then you aren't going to be able to run GW2 on that machine when it comes out. And even saying "I can run GW at 15fps" doesn't say much - Prophecies is less demanding than Factions, which is less demanding than Nightfall, which is less demanding than Eye of the North...

Not that you'll need to worry about it until end of this year at the earliest, most likely, but yeah. You'll need a new computer.
