Thanos VS PC Maaldor. No BFR

Thanos has access to the Infinity Gems but can only add a additional gem after a loss. Maaldor is replenished after each fight. For example.
Fight 1 - Thanos loses.
Fight 2 - Thonos with pg vs fully energized Maaldor.
Fight 3 - Thanos with pg + another gem vs fully engergized Maaldor.

How many will be need to defeat Maaldor and which ones? Will he need to complete the Gauntlet in order to get his first victory?

I don't remember Maaldor having any TP resistance so Mind Gem should beat him
