I find both Alex from SF 3 and Abel from SF 4 quite similar.

Both are blonde, both are grappler but "not too big" like the behemots Zangief and Hugo, and they're new chars quite important for the storyline, introduced in "newer" SF games.

All you can say for Alex is, he beat, a most likely, washed up Rog, prolly Dudely, Remy, Gill likes'em, and he got his ass beat by Ryu.

Abel...dude is still a mystery. He's a French soldier who was gonna be a Seth. Who might have been rescued from his fate, by Charlie.
