Not sure if the Penance Stare would work on Bill. He's a cyborg, technically, but I would imagine Bill definitely has what we would call a soul.

Either way, Bill's best bet is to just BFR him.

Well the #.1 preview has Johnny talking about Mephisto and Zarathos.

I mean, I always assumed that it was always still Zarathos just repurposed to act as an angel at the beginning, but with the thing saying Mephisto again, within a few years we've the explanations of The Devil, Zadkiel doing some stuff at the same time as the Devil taking Johnny's soul, and now back to Mephisto again...
