Can the Thing clobber the Blob?

Yes

Blob would suffocate Ben between his greasy moobs.

No screams for the Heart Force would help him.

Bane pleads for an end to the violence and gets a train run on him

Thing is considerably stronger, but he probably can't move Blob if Blob is ready for it and his punches still might not hurt Blob all that much.

Ben might have to resort to applying his strength advantage in other ways to win, such as:
- breaking Blob's fingers one by one as they aren't protected by so much fat, until Blob gives in.
- ripping Blob's lower jaw off. Again it is an area not protected by fat and Blob probably wouldn't want to continue fighting after that as he would want urgent medical attention to reattach his jaw.
- shoving sand down Blob's throat until he can't take any more. Sure, Blob can probably put away the burgers in record amounts but he isn't Matter-Eating Lad.
- holding a plastic bag over Blob's head until he gives.

Blob is far stronger than we give him credit for.

And Grimm is not without "weaknesses" of his own.

For a man made out of an alien orange rock, he sure is vulnerable as ****.
