As long there's shadow, the Darkness can manifest.

Jackie was able to kill someone by manifesting the Darkness inside someone brain.

Then again, i've never seen Jackie manifest the Darkness inside a telepathic shield, so i guess if i argue he could do it, then that would be a no limit.
