Stoic
Please read the stipulations.

Pick a mixed team that matches mine. Your team can not be above the Herald tier. You're allowed one tank, one cosmic, one magical based (Juggernaut is barred), one brawler, one telepath or psionicist, one leader or tactician, one mythical/extradimensional. and one artificial lifeform.

Battle field removal is out. Pre Crisis DC Characters are not allowed.

There wil be two battles. One team based, and a one on one to decide which team wins. Death or KO accepted for the win.

My team

1. Red Hulk (Leader/Tactician)
2. Hulk (Tank)
3. Cyborg Superman (Artificial lifeform)
4. Pitt (Brawler)
5. Shadow King (Telepath/Psionicist)

Cogito
I'd say there's a number of characters listed here that I'd call above Herald, especially with recent showings.

Really so would you please shine the light on the ones that you believe are?

I just read Silver Surfer Annual 7, which was released in 2001, and The Surfer and Morgs fight made it clear to me, that surpassing the Herald Tier may not be as easy as some may at first believe.

^ Good team, Galan.

Anyway, I'll go ahead and break down my team as compared to Stoic's and argue why they'd win:

1. Superman vs. Rulk: Kal has superior stats across the board, and unless Rulk goes for the absorption trick from the get go, he's going to be put down.

2. Captain Marvel vs. Hulk: Similar to the above. Cap's got the stats to take down Hulk, imo, and do it before he amps to the point of being clearly beyond Billy. (I'm assuming this is WWH Hulk) In addition to the physical attributes, Cap's also has versatility in the form of amped strikes, summoned lightning, the ability to heal from said lightning, etc.

3. Adam Warlock vs. Cyborg Superman: Not much Adam can really do against Hank, admittedly. I doubt a karmic blast would effect him much, but you could argue Hank still possesses "a soul", but it's nothing I'd feel comfortable trying to base a strategy around.

4. Kurse vs. Pitt: Kurse is probably going to wreck him something fierce.

5. Cassandra Nova vs. Shadow King: Nova's trouncing of a massively amped Xavier using Cerebra is beyond Shadow King's capabilities, imo.

6. Wonder Woman vs. Thor: Thor would get the majority, but Diana makes him work for it.

7. Sinestro vs. Silver Surfer: They'd split, imo.

8. Sentinel Alan Scott vs. Classic Dr. Strange: Depends on how highly you think of either character, imo. Classic Strange has some ridiculous feats under his belt, but a good deal of them involve context and/or prep time. I feel in a direct battle, Alan holds the edge.

^ Good team, Galan. Thanks, same to you.

With my team I'm thinking Nate could, pretty easily, 'broaden' Creel's mind- ie. make him intelligent, as opposed to retarded. After doing so, Creel is going to be one of the more powerful fellas on the field, me thinks -- Alice is going to absorb the entirety of Thor and Strange's magics -- Lobo is going to beat the bejesus out of Hulk -- Wally is going to crush Pitt -- and I'm inclined to believe that Nate would best SK.

That leaves Rulk, Hank, and Surfer vs. an intelligent AM, Black Alice /w/ the power of Thor + Strange, Lobo, Wally, Firestorm, and Nate.

Oh, and wasn't classic Dr Strange above herald tier? OP broke his own rules.
