What I meant is, it has the same growing-of-age-i-want-to-be-a-hero plot line.

Since that's such an original plot line anyway. ermmnone

So does just about every movie ever made for a younger audience. Or, well, basically everything ever. It's called the Hero's Journey and has existed for hundreds of years.

Anyway, saw it yesterday. It's definitely a very good movie! Not Pixar's best by any means, but it's still great. It's just...too short. Once things started picking up, everything felt very rushed.

Saw it last night; it was pretty entertaining, and I love films that explore my Celtic background (English/Irish/Scottish), but it wasn't a groundbreaking PIXAR masterwork. It will be thought of as middle of the pack. And the 3D actually strained my eyes.

Robtard
The animation was top-notch, Merida's hair alone was fascinating to watch.

The story though was meh and one of Pixar's more boring films.

Brave is an entertaining, heartfelt story and so smooth movie.

Vensai
I watched it a while ago and it didn't really live up to my expectations. The animation was great to watch though.

Animation: 10/10
Story, characters, and writing: 4.5/10

Kind of a let down, honestly.

Agreed.

StyleTime
Yeah, I was disappointed in the movie on the whole. I expected something more exciting.

sounds like you went in expecting an action movie and kept that expectation from letting you be objective about what you watched.

NotAllThatEvil
Merida is by far the worst Disney princess. All the interesting/funny characters are shoved into the background and treat her like she's perfect. That's bad writing.

BellaMario
I have watched this brave movie it's so nice.
