Bennett just had the entire Justice League Dark shitting their pants in fear of what would happen if he turned on them. I don't think Wonder Woman would have had that same effect.

That said, the JLD was pretty much drained of power by Cain at the time, but they were scared about him turning in the future (when they would presumable by fully empowered again).

I, Vampire was...and still is...one of my favorite series' to come out of the DCnU. SO much wasted potential.
