Team 2 should be able to telepathically shut T1 down.

Prevent Jakeem from giving orders (Not hard for Rachel), and Megan can overwhelm Wiccan pretty fast.

I'm not sure control over Thunderbolt is common knowledge. mmm

Miss Martian has done telepathy coordination work with the JSA before.

She specifically would know, regardless of common knowledge.

Team 1.

I don't think mind-raping right out of the gate is in character for team 2. Jakeem giving 'bolt orders immediately, however, is very much in character for him.

They don't have to 'mind rape'. Just, y'know, KO, telepathically command him not to speak, whatever. Before he gives his order he's very vulnerable.

Or Miss Martian to blitz.
