Uh, yea, he can resist a *little* light, his dragon was big enough to take one light-blast when he was directly linked to it and maintaining it, and the spotlight wasn't much, but he's not resisting the Ray

The sort of white fuzziness where she hits?
That's the 'construct dissolving' effect the artist uses. Note also his face-mask isn't fully formed, that's because the light dissolved it away.
Note what the scientist actually says- absolute darkness is not required, but the preponderance of darkness is.
I.e. he may be strongest in absolute darkness, but he can keep his powers going in some light.
Note also that the scans of the Angelus dissolved constructs and even his personal body armor take place much after the story with the scientist.
Note how his tentacles went away when the flashbang hit.
Absolutely not the case
Behind the Ray tends to be pretty light too. He can make light from his entire body, his output is a lot greater than Angelus's.
The warrior in the first of those scans doesn't actually produce light, they're basically just the equivalent of the Darkness's constructs except for the higher rank ones. The only light weapon it had was it's spear, it was just trying to stab him, and he disarmed it.
The next two scans are of the Darkness attacking the actual Angelus (who's barely had her powers at all, the current host is a total newb), and let's see how that turns out:

Angelus blasts away a ton of constructs by radiating light no prob.
And the Ray has a higher Light output than Angelus. By, like, a lot.
Mobsters who were sitting around and giving him plenty of time to work. People bring that up a lot but he does not do that in most fights, even when he's getting his butt kicked.
And needless to say, this is the Ray. He can turn into light. He's effectively invincible to constructs in that form.

If you cherrypick a few events and gloss over his weaknesses and how he normally does, you can make Jackie look even stronger than he is. And he is really strong on base, but let's get serious, I think I've read more Top Cow here than anyone and light always remains his weaknesses
And I don't know why I have to be the one who brings it up in so many Darkness vs threads, but there you go. Remember, folks, you don't make characters look cooler by overstating their powers, Jackie is cool because he manages to win fights despite his weaknesses, which comes up pretty often.
