In all fairness if the weaker characters are at the beginning they do NO DAMAGE. Near the end at least they fight a weaker thanos.

Really depends on 1. Obviously, Thor's not going to win, but his performance greatly effects where Thanos stops here.

Thor knows who Thanos is, and when he fights people much more powerful than he is, he tends to bring out all his tricks. There's some other powerhouses later on too, I think this could be close, depending really on if Thor, Black Bolt, Superman etc can damage him a decent amount. The Silver Surfer is really the last best hope.
