Most likely split. There's a possibility that Doom can take over its central controls or Doom gets killed.

As much as I like Doom, without prep Nimrod is too much for him.

Nimrod doesn't need prep.

As much as I hate to say this since Doom is my favorite character.

If not, I am pretty sure Nimrod will just stand still and allow Doom to tamper with his inner workings...
