In an all out war with no time limit these telepaths are sent to the Astral Plane. They have no knowledge of each other outside of the knowledge that they are all telepaths. Which one is left standing?

Martian Manhunter
Professor Xavier
Emma Frost
Psylocke
Manchester Black
Shadow King
Legion
Ms. Martian

Glorificus
Legion or Xavier wins it in the end.

Branlor Swift
Legion destroys everyone astrally, and then punches Xavier down a flight of stairs in the "real" world.

I was thinking that the Shadow King would peel all of their scalps back. He would have killed Xavier with ease without the help of jean, and Psylocke. Don't know how powerful Legion is though.

leonidas
yeah, legion is too far above the others imo.

leonidas
shadow king might well be the last one beside legion, but he seemed to fall short of his potential in the end....

Well then that will be the last time i use his ass in a thread.

With his telepathy?

In an Astral battle, all that matters is skill and willpower with their TP. None of his other powers are a factor.

DarkSaint85
Did Lobo then lift that box?

Only kidding. But that's a pretty uber feat lol. How would you guys rate the Martians? Based on titles and what they SHOULD be able to do, I'd give it to them (ignoring Legion of course), but then, based on feats...J'onn fails.

leonidas
i think based on potential shadow king comes after legion, then xavier (who could maybe take out sk). tough call between martians/black/emma imo. i'm partial to black but jonn has some great feats and emma has some ridiculous skill feats. not sure how those 3 would fall out. psylocke is a distant last though imo.

He's also put down Xavier before his recent massive amp with psi attacks.

leonidas
i don't think the astral plane woulod prevent his use of reality manipulation anyway, tbh. he simply has access to more powers (even on the astral) then the others. but yeah, his psi strength alone is far above even chuck's.

Considering how he's been described as being ten times the telepath that his dad was , in addition to the monstrous TP feats he has , he could possibly win in this thread :

I don't know much about Shadow King or Manchester Black , so I am unsure how Legion will perform against them .
The others are mostly cannon fodder compared to Legion .

Huh? J'onn is easily better than the likes of Xavier and Emma. He scans the entire Earth population all the time, and without the aid of amplifying tech.

Konton
I'm just gunna pretend Legion isn't here.

I'd say Emma would fare best in an astral battle, considering her crazy skill feats and the fact that the astral plane closes the slight power gap between Xavier, J'onn, and herself. Skill is more important here - which is how Emma easily tooled Phoenix powered Rachel in their astral battle.

Didn't Xavier during the onslaught saga kick all telepathy out of the astral plane including Nate grey?

I guess rules were meant to be broken.

Didn't Emma have Mad Jim Jaspers afraid of her telepathy recently in that book with the horrible art?

Are you talking about Astonishing X-Men Xenogenesis ? That was an alternate version , and the entire storyline is probably out of continuity .

Konton
Yes. Was he depowered or something? She dumped him into a coma with ease just because he touched her face and tried to leave, from what I can tell in the respect thread.

He got killed by Dr Crocodile when he was sleeping . Both him and the Furies had poor TP resistance in that mini . As I said before , that was an alternate version , and the whole storyline is probably out of continuity .

Editor Alex Alonso said, "Like all arcs of ASTONISHING X-MEN, it's a self-contained read. It's not deeply woven into the subplots that are taking place in, say, UNCANNY X-MEN, X-FORCE or X-MEN: LEGACY, but it sure as hell counts."

Sounds canon to me. The story deals with the mutant birth ordeal.

I never said that it was definitely out of continuity , just that it was probably so . However that still doesn't change the fact that that was an alternate reality Jaspers , and so were those "Furies" .
