Suppose if Superman man used his most powerfull or full powered HV on Mjolnir/Thor etc, in your opinion do you think that Thor/Mjolnir could absorb it and direct it back 10x via Anti-Force etc, or instead that the HV will pierce through Mjolnir and hence will be too much for it & Thor to absorb or withstand ??

pym-ftw
I can't see why not the mallet has absorbed things well above just heat

Mindset
Thor would need Mjolnir.

He'd eat it and shit it right back in Superman's face.

Yes.

It would probably just power him up though, unless the hammer also alters the energy...

I think Mjolnir could, IIRC Mjolnir has absorbed a Galaxy buster.

So yes, I believe he can

Do you think a sun has a forth of the energy needed for a big bang

To cause a galaxy wide explosion creating trillions of stars

There is no reason at all why Mjolnir would fail to absorb the heat vision.

Even in the context of comic books, it is.

It's the Big Bang for crying out loud.

But if you REALLY want to know:

Short answer: 9.5 x 10 to the power of 53 Megatons of TNT

Superman was one of the four people who contributed in Damage absorbing enough energy to create a big bang.

Spectre accelerated this process by pumping more energy into him and started the big bang

http://i1113.photobucket.com/albums/k508/abhilegend/Superman/th_ZHpt005_pg021.jpg

Good feat, but I don't see how it translates into Superman's heat vision equaling 1/4 of the power of the Big Bang, especially with variables such as Spectre.

You don't have to be a Thor fanboy to know that Mjolnir will absorb or block Superman's heat vision.

Nah. Rao Kal-El has agreed that Mjolnir could absorb it. That pretty much kills all debate.

Its only because Starscream posted that this thread came alive.

True, but the outcome of this thread is pretty obvious to anyone who knows anything of either character.

Mjolnir will beat a dose of heat vision virtually every time.

Even a barrage of attacks would be defended against via Mjolnir's vortex shields. smile

I think we have finally unpeeled all the repression carver had for his Superman feelings...

He tried to tell himself he was a Marvel fan, a true believer. He shouted Hulk Smash at all the appropriate moments, and had the posters of Hulk up on his wall.

But he never felt right, never felt true to himself. There was always something in the back of his mind, a little itch he could never scratch.

And then one day, he had enough.

Yes, from the vortex, I like to call it "dimensional dislocation"

Yes that will stop it, but it won't absorb it.

I don't think the dimensional dislocation absorbs and re-directs attacks. At least, not to my knowledge.

thor holds mjolnir out to block the blow, the heat is easily absorbed but the sheer force pushes thor's arms back and mjolnir collides with his face, one shotting him.
