Iron Man has hulkbuster armor. Thor has no hammer.

Digi
Planet-level storm ftw? Thor still has options, and is the better fighter. Not sure though.

Flyattractor
HOW DARE YOU take away Thor's Hammer!

They are ONE AND THE SAME!!!!

I claim spite thread

The Hulkbuster armor what gave Prof Hulk a decent fight and beat up Wolverine?

I can see Thor winning

Silent Master
Thor wins

Galan007
Hulkbuster(Mk II) gave WWH damn good fight, but was ultimately shredded(obviously). However, without Mjolnir I don't know that Thor is on par with WWH (perhaps a bigger Thor fan than myself can clarify.)

So assuming Thor is physically weaker than WWH, I think the Hulkbuster(Mk II) can definitely take some wins here.

Savage Hulk was able to stalemate Mjolnirless Thor so that should give you an indication on where Thor stands powerwise.

JakeTheBank
Thor would have to invoke weather powers here sans Mjolnir.

ozz81
probably thor, coz as said he was stalemated by savage hulk...

Damborgson
In a purely physical contest Thor probably won't win this one.

janus77
IM wins.

Hulkbuster IM wins if Thor goes melee. Otherwise not so sure. That adamantium spike would spell trouble for thor. As for Thor/Hulk, a handicapped merged hulk stalemated a bloodlusted Thor with mjolnir for one hour and later manhandled him while thor was presumably entering warrior madness in IH 440. Thor hasn't been on an angry hulk's level physically since a long time.

Thor was also handicapped. He was in a weaker mortal form. And that Thor matched Hulk in another head to head strength competition again during that fight.

He was enraged. That wasn't any try WM though.

That's why I said presumably. It can be argued both ways though. Hulk later manhandled thor to the ground using one hand only and threw him away. I said angry hulk, when thor locked hands with hulk he was having trouble getting angry.

It was a moment in which he got the advantage no doubt. Nothing really more to it though to me. His hands are big enough to wrap around Thor's body. I'd be surprised if he couldn't do that momentarily.

In one of their other fights, Thor restrained the Hulk with a boulder and pushed him to his turn back to banner point in a basically staged fight.

Thor's matched enraged and bannerless Savage Hulks' strength on a couple of occasions also. Though Savage Hulk's strength is >= Thor's.

I can see where you're coming from. Fair enough, but the scene can be interpretted in my way too.

Yeah, that's the fight from Thor 489, I referenced earlier. Thor was bloodlusted there though and hulk stalemated him for one hour.

I'd say angry savage hulk>Thor>=Calm savage hulk in strength. Savage starts in namor range of strength looking at their fights and general portrayals.

It can, for sure. And I wouldn't blame anyone for seeing it that way.

in Thor #489? Thor was pretty composed iirc. He held back by not using Mjolnir the whole fight and held back in h2h also. When he took Mjolnir out the fight quickly turned south for Hulk.

Cool.

Yeah, I mis-remembered the fight. Thor however was going all out without mjolnir. It basically portrayed a holding back baseline merged hulk as equal to all out thor sans mjolnir.

Thor vs Professor Hulk, from Thor #489:

Thor started letting loose about halfway through the fight. The Hulk on the other hand had to kick it up sooner to avoid losing. But was also quickly getting pushed to where he was in danger of losing control and reverting to Banner.

It seemed more to me like Thor would have won either way had it kept going in melee, but decided to end it quicker with Mjolnir.

He couldn't amp in that fight. Also hela directly states that they seemed equal in h2h.

Hela can say what she wants, and not having the knowledge of the characters that we do, it's not surprise but the way they were respectively portrayed disagrees with how Hela thought the fight would go. She also thought the fight would go on for decades.

She didn't said anything opposite to what was portrayed though.

Yeah, people have argued by that statement that Thor has unlimited stamina.

Tony did better against WWH than pretty much anyone else, imo. Hell, he would have won had the nanobots been effective.

And aside from nanobots, the injection-spike itself could potentially phuck up Thor:

Thor is much faster and a better fighter than realistically any hulk

carver9
I think people forgot the damage Hulk and Ironman was doing during their battle with just punches alone. Mountains and nearby cities were getting destroyed just from the impact of their punches. Thor loses this.

Forgot about this. Iron Man did quite well and also great feat for Hulk not missing a beat after being stabbed in the head like that.

Don't see Thor winning a majority without using exotic powers or Mjolnir.

carver9
I just realize something, Hulk had to get PIIIIIIIISSSED in order to damage/put down this version of Ironman. One of his beat suits imo.

I see this as the only real argument for ironman

Didn't Thor use a GB without Mjoinir before?

Mindset
No.

Wasn't really a godblast, but rather using his status as the God of Thunder to forcibly drop Durok with a powerful thunderbolt.
